Just a Little Bit Better...

For the past three weeks at Thursday Nite Place we have been looking at different Christian t-shirts and what they say about God and about Christian culture. It has been a great time (well, I shouldn't speak for everyone, but at least I am having fun anyways!) for us to discuss the current state of Christian culture, where we can improve, and how we can improve. But no matter if you think we need to do this or that or this is working and that isn't or whatever - everything kind of points back to one overall concept.

We can do things just a little bit better.

Whether it is Christian t-shirts, Christian music, Christian books, the way that we do Church, the way that we do Bible Study, anything - we can do things a little bit better. The heart behind many of the Christian t-shirts that we have in the world is probably pretty good. But in order for us to be able to connect with a savvy generation of people who need Christ, then we need to become more relevant and a little more cool. It's not like it is impossible. We just need to shift our mindset and our strategy a little tiny bit so that we can do things just a little bit better.

Jesusbranded is a new Christian clothing company that is catching this. They offer extremely well-designed shirts that still proclaim the Message. They are shirts created for a generation that is fashion- and design-conscious. They are shirts developed for the critical consumer. And they are shirts that we can all be proud to wear.

They are doing things just a little bit better than we usually do them.

And that is a great place to start. Let's just do things a little bit better.
